IT Health Initiative 2025 : Eye Health Talk & Free Eye Health Screening – In Collaboration with MSU Medical Centre & MSU University

As part of our commitment to employee wellness and sustainable workplace practices, ALCOM recently launched a new health initiative focused on eye care in collaboration with MSU Medical Centre and MSU University. Held on Wednesday, 23 July 2025, the Eye Health Day event brought attention to an often-overlooked aspect of employee well-being, eye health in the digital and industrial workplace.
This meaningful collaboration marks a milestone for ALCOM, being our first partnership with a prominent healthcare and academic institution. It reflects our ongoing efforts to create a healthier, more supportive work environment for all.
The event featured two key components:
Free Eye Health Screening: Staff had the opportunity to undergo a quick 10–15 minute vision screening and consultation session. With stations set up at the Manukan Meeting Room, over 80 participants were screened throughout the day.
Eye Health Talk – “From Screens to Factories”: Renowned eye health expert Dr. Siti Nurbaiya Baharun Naim led an informative session on eye care strategies tailored to both office and factory employees. The talk, held at Sandbox 1 & 2, was attended by staff across departments.
By prioritizing preventive care and practical education, ALCOM continues to invest in the health of our people. We hope this is the first of many initiatives that empower our workforce to thrive—both on and off the job.
